Dear Classmates,
After the wild Summer 50th Reunion activities, I felt exhausted, but glad we made it this far! I've been meaning to send out a sort of 'wrap up newsletter,' but this is not it. That will come soon.
Many of you have already seen Wayne Jasper's notices on the LHS 68 Facebook Group page, but not everyone is on Facebook. So, if you've somehow missed it, I wanted to give you a last call for this current campaign to help the school. Here's the info Wayne's been posting.
The Lynbrook High School Class of ‘68 will be getting bricks to
Commemorate the 50 years since our graduation
To support Lynbrook High School and its athletic programs.
Classmates have expressed an interest to purchase bricks of their own and have them placed with our commemorative bricks.
The bricks are 4” x 8” for $100, (3 lines, 23 characters/line), and 8” x 8” for $175, (6 lines, 23 characters/line). 19 characters/line if using a logo. Logos include Viking logo and various sports images.
If you are interested in getting a brick for yourself or a fellow classmate, and having it with other class of ‘68 classmates:
Purchase it directly by going to the website, AND
Let me know that you’d like your brick placed with the class of ‘68, so I can coordinate its placement with the school.
For those that have already given me your requests, I will contact you to confirm the wording and order your brick.
To order a brick go to:
https://www.engravedbricks.com/campaign/Lynbrook
When ordering your brick, add “Please place with other LHS class of 1968 bricks”, in the comment section.
Please place your orders and let me know you did by September 7, so. I can work with the school to arrange how and where our bricks will be placed.
My brick is shown below. I am planning to have it moved to be with other ‘68ers. If you already have one, and would also like it moved, let me know by September 7. I will help make it happen.
If you have any questions, email me.

Wayne has told me there are already 9 bricks, beyond the ones that already existed, bought for this new wave. I think a lot of people would like to do something to help the school, and this seems like a good way.
Cheers,
Geoff Gould
