Lynbrook Class of 1968 List Last notes about weekend reunion events

Heading out soon for Santa Cruz,

I thought it would be a good idea to touch on a few important points.  At this juncture, it's AOK, ready to go!

Friday
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Hang

I just got off the phone with Rob Karr, and he plans to be at the group picnic deck area (if no one is occupying it, we'll sit there) on the beach side of the Coconut Grove end of the Boardwalk

We can see the bandstand from there. Classmates will be at that location to meet-up from roughly 4-8.

The first free band performance is @ 6:30PM

We plan to head off to dinner before the second band set starts.  10 years ago, that was about 8PM

I will post more info on the LHS68 Facebook page once I get there, and start posting photos.  If you have some photos to share, either post them on the facebook page, or email them to me, and I'll put them on the site.

Saturday
Longstock Music Festival http://lhs68.net/2018/Longstock.html

A handful of musicians from the Class of '68 (Euphemistically called the Class of '68 All Stars!) will be playing a short set around 2PM.  Howie Webber and the Webber Bros Band will be playing a set right afterwards.  The most important thing is there has been a problem with Google Maps when trying to find the address.  It turns out it's better if you tell the map to look in Santa Cruz instead of Los Gatos.  So, here's the address to use:

14350 Long Ridge Rd, Santa Cruz, CA

Sunday Picnic at Portal Park 11:30AM-3:30PM  Check out Cupertino Park Dept website on the park

We need to have a good idea of how many are attending the picnic at Portal Park on Sun, June 23rd, 11:30-3:30. Anyone is welcome- your families or other Lynbrook alumni who want to see people. We are serving burgers, hotdogs, chicken, soft drinks, wine and beer. We ask that you make a monetary contribution on-site appropriate for what you consume. 

Sunday Night 50th Anniversary Dinner

For those of you that have reserved your space at the dinner, at the Hilton DoubleTree Pruneyard.  Cocktails will be at 5PM, Buffet Dinner at 6:30PM, event ends at 10PM.

Monday Morning?

There will probably be a group of classmates at the Hilton DoubleTree Pruneyard having breakfast together in the morning before we check out.  If I find anything more specific, I'll post it.
