50th Anniversary Reunion / EXTENDED REUNION

Since this is our biggest bestest reunion, the steering committee suggests that we offer many ways to celebrate which will accommodate varied interests and needs of our classmates.  It looks like we will offer a variety of activities for those who want to make a week of it and meet in small interest groups, explore our old haunts and meet at a finale event with music, food and old friends to celebrate our unusually great school and the closeness that comes from helping form the foundation for future Vikings.(I know, bordering on run on) Spend the time vacationing, or reconnecting.  Personalize your visit.

 Some suggestions that have come up after brainstorming are as follows:  Picnic with family and faculty, Longstock Annual Music Festival highlighting some of our musical classmates, night at the boardwalk (ala our 40th}, arts and writers display and reception, tour of the school, golf tournament, Letterman and Letter Lady gathering, any special interest event that is suggested like quilters, wine tasting, beer garden, just to start the discussion.  Hopefully those who have talents and special interests can step up and chair a small group.  If there are just a few interested in each event, who cares.  Gather and enjoy.  Easier to reconnect on small groups, right?

Keeping in Touch / Donna Moon

Donna has fallen and injured herself shortly after all of her hard work at the reunion and she still needs extensive surgery on her shoulder and more.  The recovery is difficult and I am sure there is quite a bit of pain as well.  Surely she can use some good cheer and distraction from all of us from time to time.  She really helped make the reunion special and has been suffering from her injuries since then.

We are across the street from the Cocoanut Grove in the condos on 200 W. Cliff Dr...from Wed through Sunday.

Come on..it's not that far...you gotta come to the reunion so we can compare our green hair and sunburns from the life guard chairs...I miss you and want to catch up!!!  Remember those stinky short lunches in the locker room with Mr. Brown yelling at us to get in our chairs....
